Tour of the Francke Foundations

Welcome to the Francke Foundations!

We would like to take you on a tour of the historic grounds of August Hermann Francke's (1663-1727) baroque school town. The walk through past and present begins in front of the Historic Orphanage on Franckeplatz, takes you across the Historic Linden Courtyard and through the southern part of the Foundation grounds with the educational institutions of the 19th and 20th centuries.
